nanoplus Mid-Infrared LED

nanoplus introduces continuous-wave MIR LEDs (also known as ICLEDs) at customized wavelengths. Select any wavelength between 1750 nm and 6500 nm. The substrate-side-emitting devices display higher wall-plug efficiencies and maximum output powers > 1mW than previous MIR LEDs operating in continuous wave at room temperature. Operation in pulsed mode is, as well, possible, for low power consumption. nanoplus MIR LEDs are broadband, incoherent and cost-effective alternatives to lasers for many gas sensing applications in industry and research.

Technology

nanoplus MIR LEDs rely on the same technology as our very successful interband cascade lasers.The advantage over previous interband cascade LEDs can be attributed to stage grouping at one single antinode of the optical field and the usage of low absorbing substrates.
